The Berkeley Rotary Club was founded locally in 1916 as a member organization dedicated to community service and leadership. Local projects currently sponsored by the Berkeley Rotary Club include: Restoration of Shorebird Park in the Marina; maintenance of Tilden Park Peace Grove and the annual Peace Award; the Dictionary project: Dictionaries for all Berkeley 3rd graders; various College and Youth Leadership Scholarships; school rehabilitation projects in post-Katrina New Orleans and much more! SEEDS Community Resolution Center (SEEDS)- is a 27 year-old, 501(c)3 nonprofit, community-based organization, that provides alternatives to stressful conflict and/or litigation through mediation, facilitation, and training to Alameda County residents. We draw from our 250+ trained volunteer mediators, facilitators, and peacemakers to facilitate greater understanding and mutually acceptable solutions on issues related to: neighbors, families, youth, landlords/tenants, merchants, co-workers, small claims, civil harassment and much more… Our services are provided for a low cost fee on a sliding scale. No one turned away for inability to pay. Got Conflict? For information call (510) 548-2377 or check out SEEDS’ website at www.seedcrc.org. |
