For 27 Years kids and families have been enjoying our Free Kite-Making Workshops at the Berkeley Kite Festival. This year's sessions are scheduled from 11:00 to 1:00 both days. Please join us then, or if you want to get a head start you can build one at home from the plans below and bring it to Kite Fest!

Here is what you'll need:

• One 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. (velum is excellent if you have it)
• Two 3/16" diameter x 6" long bamboo sticks or skinny straws.
• Scotch Tape.
• Light weight string.
• Two 24" long tails (use tissue paper or trash bag material)
• Crayons or markers for decoration.
• Some wind!
